Pros

They all sound great when they get up to speak. In a large area with lots of high end neighbourhoods and businesses this can work but not in small areas. Small local business can't afford to advertise "brand", they need direct selling that can be measured.

Cons

When you get home and realize that half of the clients that are in the current magazine want out of their contracts its a huge red flag. I was able to get 4 clients out of their contracts but when I was told to let legal handle the others I knew I no longer wanted to be part of their organization. Even though the previous sales rep had made false claims and promises Best Version Media still wanted to talk these local small businesses to court for a three year contract buyout.

Contrary to what this review states, our business model is very successful in small areas. In fact, right now our #1 publisher in Canada is operating in a town with a population of 15,000. It’s not the size of the town that is important, it’s the connection to a community that makes branding work. That is the source of success with local advertising. If there ever was a situation where we learned a publisher had made misstatements to a client during the process of getting an ad agreement signed we would support our client 100%. We have a vested interest in doing the right thing and protecting our good name. We have thousands and thousands of happy clients and this wouldn’t be the case if what this reviewer is stating was going on. We know who wrote this review and we know for certain that no clients were taken to court in this case. As for stating that we are stealing our clients’ money—this is an outrageous lie. If we were a litigation-happy company we would file a lawsuit for defamation. But since we are not, we will simply say that our thousands of satisfied clients proves the falseness of this reviewer’s claims.

Pros

There are no pros. Pay isn't even that great.

Cons

Nothing but glorified sales jobs. You sell advertising. Terrible training. People are cold and fake to work with.

Pros

Best Version Media is the best job I've ever had! The culture and the people are unlike anything I've ever experienced. They're friendly and inviting from the first day and are always willing to help you out with anything. The attitude they have is positive and warm. They encourage creativeness and believing in one's self. The CEO Dave Durand also loves to personally know his employees which I have never experienced at any other business. He knows everyone by name and doesn't pass by anyone with out saying "hi!". BVM is a great opportunity, don't pass it up!

Cons

I can't think of any!
