Pros

Best Version Media is by far the best overall career opportunity I have had the opportunity to take part in. It is truly second to none. In fact, it absolutely stuns me to see negative reviews about this company. The only explanation to this is that someone either misunderstood the opportunity and decided to bash BVM for their own personal incompetence or the opportunity exposed to them their personal shortcomings and lack of will and rather than facing them, the individual decided it would be easier to place the blame on someone else (i.e BVM). In my experience, the best part about BVM is the culture. Hands down. You just can not find anything else like this out there in the corporate world. Their CEO is one of the most consistent, uplifting, and intelligent leaders I have had the privilege to work with. His example seems to trickle down into all BVM's leadership teams as the encouragement I have received from their Regional and Divisional Managers only confirms the company's authenticity.

Cons

You have to earn it, this is a compensation-based only position so it can be tough in the beginning. However, the stress and difficulty of living without a paycheck for a few months pales in comparison to the financial reward and autonomy I have experienced as a Publisher.

Pros

I started with BVM in late 2014 and built 2 Magazines by March 2015 and everything was great! But soon after that i needed to have a full Knee replacement my recovery time was FIVE MONTHS. So what did the company do? They did everything they could do to help me through this very HARD TIME. My Regional Mgr. helped me maintain my two magazines the home office could not have been more helpful . My sales career spans 50 years and my respect and gratitude for this company could not be any greater.

Cons

I HAVE one con I wish i started sooner!!

Pros

Management is very supportive in helping each publisher to build and grow their publications with daily conference calls with peers and managers giving advice and sharing experience - no negative enforcement. So far, very honest about what to expect - no income for the few months before you go to print but the potential for a lucrative income is there without the threat of corporate downsizing. Great opportunity to get to know more about your community and the businesses that serve the community. BVM staff is very responsive to all inquiries and requests and has a well run organization. Promotes good work ethic and creates good quality magazines on a local level. High level of satisfaction and accomplishment when a magazine goes to print.

Cons

This is for people that are self disciplined to do the hard work to build a business without income for several months and the determination to make it happen- not for everybody - and you have to be willing to make cold calls for a living. You will have to pay your own way to company conferences including hotel and meals as needed.
