There are the typical and understandable challenges of working at any start up, such as little time invested in training and onbaording, supply chain and logistics hic-ups, multiple projects and initiative happening at any time. These challenges would all be very manageable, but what makes this a very difficult place to thrive is how poorly people treat each other. The remote office dynamics seemed to follow the rules of high school cliques. Gossip is constant. Even between Sr. Management and hourly employees. Every day there is drama -- any minor mistake and/or miscommunication gets escalated to your managers and often their managers in a bid to get you in trouble rather taking the time to talk through the miscommunication, etc. Coworkers freeze information and communication if you do something that they don't like. Imagine working at a place where 1/3 of the office completely ignores you on your 4th week because they didn't like a decision you made about who to allocate to a simple project. (You read that correctly, 1/3 of the very small office pretended I didn't exist when I walked into a room and I was only 4 weeks into the role). There's a clear sense of entitlement among profit center focused teams. They really seemed to think cost center teams reported to them. Management and HR seemed unable or unwilling to address the issues.

Growing fast has growing pains - not all of the company's systems and infrastructure are built to grow rapidly, so there is some internal friction as Bevi scales.
