Pros

Tech that you can really get behind, genuinely good products to work with and support, it's important in a software support role that you enjoy working with the software you are supporting, and you can definitely do that here. Good management, very supportive The company really cares about work-life balance. Great holiday allowance that you can actually use ! Good progression, the opportunities for personal growth are there, you just need to express your interest and your goals and the company will help you achieve them. Generally respected and looked on favourably by customers in day to day interactions. Good sense of team work, no one is ever too busy to help No one at any level of the business is unapproachable. I would feel comfortable speaking to any of the board members or directors here. No micromanagement, management trust you to get on with your job. Can have as much or as little support from management as you need.

Cons

Decisions sometimes slow to be made. You can bring ideas to the table for improvements which is great, but then they are extremely slow to act on those ideas or explain why the idea will or won't be implemented, can be frustrating at times. Support can sometimes be the unsung heroes of the customer experience, but that's not uncommon in the tech industry as a whole. I certainly feel support is valued more here than in most other Tech companies I have worked in, but still would nice to have our contribution acknowledged more.

Appreciate your detailed review and I agree that we do have something special here. We have had strong year over year growth and customer retention while our products continue to win awards. Trust me, we recognize the value of support. Customer satisfaction is one of the top metrics we measure and we know that support has a lot to do with that. Your advice to “Keep on respecting, compensating, rewarding and taking care of your team. They will return the favour and make the vision a reality” is spot on and what we strive for.
