Overworked

Pros

-flexibility in the work place -Good amount of PTH -12 days of holiday pay

Cons

-they will overwork you if someone quits until they hire someone new for the position. Can take up to a year to find a new replacement, so be prepared to work more than one job and still only get paid for your one job, it's ridiculous and maybe illegal. -Directors/supervisors/upper management will do what they want -will not give you a yearly raise and say its not in the budget -Horrible housing first model when clients are not taken care of basic needs like mental heath, addiction rehab, etc.

Provides great experience but too high of expectations

Pros

The coworkers make the job bearable. You get attached to the population you work with, they are the reason you want to stay because you want to see them grow and succeed. There are lots of trainings that help with understanding the population we are serving. The trainers are very knowledgeable. Ability to garner great experience in your field which makes you marketable when looking for jobs in other companies.

Cons

The expectations set for employees and I'm sure supervisors and lower level management is too high. You can never achieve the goals that are set for you and attempting to do so is hard on your mental health. For one of the departments, once you express dissatisfaction the director becomes rude and vindictive. She began scrutinizing every little thing that I did and within a month I left the department. In my position, I had interaction with other departments and other directors. There was one director I was especially fond of because of how caring and supportive of her staff. But based on the conversations I've had with her employees, she is overworked and burnt out. She works longer than her contracts requires because the are many duties that can not be done in a 9 to 5 period. Her higher ups are not supportive and they're also vindictive.

Pros

cool coworkers and clients were chill if you treated them with respect

Cons

upper management is out of touch with what the job truly entails and the demographic we work with. They don't know what they're doing, don't care about staff, and are corrupt af.
