Pros

Billings Clinic offers excellent job opportunities and is an all around supportive company. The many programs they offer to employees such as tuition assistance, private counseling, and employee discount to multiple companies across Billings proves that this company cares. Billings Clinic is an innovative company and a leader in this nation's healthcare industry.

Cons

You have to use your own PTO for sick time but they don't allot you any PTO right off the bat to compensate for this so it can be hard to build up PTO if you (or your kids) are a typical person that comes down with the common cold every year.

Pros

Orientation- I was gullible and believed they’re “nice, safe and courageous” campaign

Cons

Sharing to prevent anyone else the possible experience with Billings Clinic in Montana. I interviewed for a position and was called later same day to offer me the position. 90 days of credentialing later I started what I thought was an amazing position with kind coworkers. I soon found that while they were all kind on the outside - for one individual that is not the case. But we all know there is always at least one right. I had thought if you work hard and do your job with genuine care taken of the patients - it’s ok if someone in the office doesn’t like your uniqueness. I usually grow on them anyways. Her friend job shadowed with her week 3 of my orientation. In the state of Montana they don’t need a reason during your probation period to let you go. It doesn’t matter if you do your job, show up early and do extra things. They don’t ask patients how they were treated, read or listen to any of coworkers cruelness or passive aggressiveness. Despite billings clinic theme kind, safe and courageous. They are Not willing to look at your work up for patients that you have done. It doesn’t matter that the coworker began keeping a file on you week 2. Also things coworker would cross out on my documentation - later right before I was excused the same things are now in her documentation that she thought was confusing. She also crossed out my references to best practice or per up to date as she didn’t think that was in up to date. She would question me daily where I got this or that - when I would share from the book they recommended on page xyz”that’s not important”. I honestly had no idea my performance and opinion of me would be so heavy on an equal coworker. No one is everyone’s cup of tea even after many attempts. But I did not think an adult professional position that takes 90 days to credential would dismiss you so easily if you were caring to patients, prevented harm, were early. I had no idea leaving a secure position would be such a risk for cheerleader clique personality in a professional setting because I’m a little different but nice and work hard. I honestly thought I would be given the opportunity to be heard. Yes it was done a week before Thanksgiving. Unemployment does not come close to paying my bills. Even if I got hired somewhere today I am on unemployment for 90 days without health insurance till I am credentialed in a new position. Also their financials continue to worsen

Pros

systems are efficient and organized for patient volume

Cons

I had a position where I was able to interact with a variety of departments and staff members daily. My experience during my employment was unpleasant and my perspective of this facility if highly unprofessional. I will aknowledge that much of the staff understand and succeed at their educated career compentencies and fulfill the companys needs, however, there is a extreme lack in leadership, ownership, teamwork, empathy and understanding, communication skills, and operating in a respectful manner. Leadership roles demonstrate poor company culture and promotes unethical behaviour amoungst staff members. I found the worplace to be rifed with hostility, cliques, gossip, mistrust, and selfishness.
