If people have to be reminded that many times, they don't like the place. • Surveys about employee satisfaction are not anonymous; they are used to decide whom to fire. • Company has “quiet layoffs”. Doesn’t matter how hard you work or what skills you have, anyone not loyal to managers are booted. • During one layoff, they let go of an employee who worked there for almost 30 years. He was months away from retirement. No happy retirement party. Just a humiliating walk to the door. • A senior director is a bully. He yells at people during meetings. He expects all requests for even basic needs and information to go through him. • Director yelled at a subordinate for doing something the manager asked that coworker to do. That means the manager did not inform the director about the change of task, but the director chose to blame the subordinate during a meeting rather than ask the manager. • Manager invites other people to 1:1 meetings to critique employees. Just another way the managers create a low-trust work culture. • Director blamed me for somebody else being behind schedule. Then blamed that person for taking enough time to do their job right. • Director invites people into meetings just so they can hear him berate employees. • When managers put down people in a team meeting and the director says nothing, it means the director tacitly allows managers to bully people openly.
