      Pros

      It is research and application of knowledge learned while attending class in a specific area of work. Definitely interesting stuff that is worked on overall. Abilities to manage and multi-task on multiple projects is exercised in this job. Am under the impression that there is growth readily available to me within this job.

      Cons

      Have experienced some micromanaging which doesn't adhere well with my ability and preference to work independently. For the most part fairly flexible with schedules, however, there have been some work-life balance issues.

      Pros

      Good place to learn necessary skills for that early experience in the industry. Many hobby groups to join (yoga, fitness, running, reading, gameboards, etc). It is pretty difficult to get fired here

      Cons

      Management is so poor to the point that there is no transparency. Pay is lower then other companies. You will be worked to the bone. Promotions are given unfairly. Benefits are the same as other companies even though they claim to have the very best. I feel this company is rated high because the HR/marketing/sales area is great here. Everyone seemed happy up there, where the lab workers never seemed happy. I never saw job growth opportunities. I did not realize the stress I had there until the day I left. It was not the place for me. They claimed changes were coming even before I started, but I never saw much change when I was there. Did I mention you are not given a personal computer, yet expected to perform data entry?

      Pros

      Regular 9 to 5 hours. Usually no weekends or holidays and no mandatory overtime.

      Cons

      Benefits are getting stripped slowly. The company is doing well but instead of distributing the wealth the only person that gets richer are high management, CEO and his friends. Regular employees get only 2% raises and now having to pay more of our medical insurance premiums you actually lose a % of salary.
