Pros

- Great people I started with, training is decent

Cons

- Almost highschool like culture. Took 10 minutes off a call once and was told that I needed to let them know if I needed to step away for any reason. They'll be passive aggressive at times, even when you do everything they ask - For month 2 you need to book 6 meetings and hold at least 3. They give you 300 accounts at random and are told to get to work. - I led the team in effort and tied the rep with the most bookings. I had 2 reschedule on me as it was thanksgiving and was told the day before thanksgiving that I had 1 day to hold 1 meeting or be fired. - I resigned. on the whole team I was #2 in calls, and booked 4 meetings in a very tough month. (also leading all of Mid Market) -It was more of a power trip on the trainers if anything. - Ruthless sales culture, which is fine, but that was too far.

Pros

Great team culture. The managers care about our growth.

Cons

They had all of us sign a contract agreeing to a Quota change and gave us all quarter to prepare for it to be implemented in Q2 only for them to completely change that quota to be dependent on SQLs which can end up being out of the BDRs hands and dependent on the AEs. The AEs don’t share the same priority as BDRs which ends up costing us commission.

Pros

Flexibility to work from home, great coworkers, autonomy to complete work tasks, and reach sales goals.

Cons

Unorganized. High turnover, people will be let go shortly (30 days) after being hired on if they don't immediately hit quota, and managers and leadership change every few months. The high turnover leads to confusion and inconsistency. They will tell new hires that they are rapidly growing but the truth is they fire and hire instead of investing in their employees. Inconsistency and lack of transparency with compensation and objectives, plans change every few months. Inability to use PTO before hitting monthly quota, making it difficult to plan personal time. - Management and HR will ask employees to write reviews after they receive recognition and share they are trying to increase rating on Glassdoor-

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We genuinely value feedback, both positive and negative, as it helps us to continuously improve and evolve as a company. I'm sorry for any frustration you may have experienced during your time with us. It's never easy to feel uncertain or unsettled in a work environment. As a fast growth company, we hold ourselves and our employees to a high standard of performance, as we believe this is essential for driving success in our competitive industry. We also understand the importance of work-life balance and strive to accommodate our employees' personal needs as much as possible. We will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to refine our policies and procedures. With respect to decisions about turnover and compensation plans, I want to assure you that these decisions are made thoughtfully and with the long-term success of our company and our team in mind. We also invest a lot in employee growth and development to help new team members succeed. Unfortunately, not every new hire is the right fit for the role or company. In these cases, we believe it's best for both parties to part ways early on, rather than prolonging a situation that may not be mutually beneficial. While we do encourage our team members to share their honest feedback on platforms like Glassdoor, it is never our intention to pressure or manipulate anyone into leaving positive reviews. Our focus is on creating a positive and supportive work environment where every employee feels valued and respected. Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are committed to learning from your feedback and making the necessary improvements to ensure that Birdeye remains a great place to work for all of our employees.
