11yOur system does not allow our managers to enter shifts in incements of 15 minutes or 45 minutes. As outlined in our Associate Handbook which contains our rules, policies, and standards, if your shift is more than six hours and starts before 11am, you are required to take a 30 minute break between 11am and 2pm. If your shift is more than eight hours, starts in the morning and runs past 7pm, you are required to take a 20 minute break between 5pm and 7pm in addition to the 30 minute break listed above. Also, if your shift is more than six hours and starts after 1pm, you are required to take a 45 minute break in the middle of your shift. You are entitled and required to take these breaks. If you did not take a break, you were to notify your manager. Also, you may have missed this during your training, but we explain what can and cannot be in the rooms with the dogs. For the safety of the dogs in our care, we do not allow chairs in these rooms.
