Pros

Still a market leader in application security testing.

Cons

Currently owned by private equity. Aggressive cost cutting, offshoring to India, reorgs, layoffs.

Pros

Attractive Benefits As per market compensation

Cons

Honestly the leadership in US is so bad that they had no clue that they are gonna be sold and kicked out of Synopsys. The US leadership team ignores India branch like they don't matter to them, I recall such a trashy transition process from SNPS to BD that no employee from India had any clue that what their company benefits are gonna look like, however all the other regions were informed well about their benefits prior to transition date. The CHRO is biased and trying to bring in her own people into the company specifically the people she has previously worked with, I've heard that she's also very rude and dictative with her direct reportees.

Survival mode culture

Pros

Used to be a great place to work but no longer after carve out from Synopsys.

Cons

Since the PE acquisition, layoffs have been frequent and job security is low across the board. Not just in the US but globally. No team feels safe today as we never know when its your turn to leave. That insecurity is creating a stressed & guarded culture. Passive aggressive behavior is common everywhere(and I really mean it) which kills any motivation to collaborate with others. You will also learn fast that surviving is treated as success. Raising ideas or pushing for change isn't rewarded and it's often not welcome at all. Ultimately it would be treated as an objection to the board. If you're looking for a place to grow an innovative mindset this isn't it. The company's response to the AI market shift has been sluggish. Competitors are sprinting to adapt while Black Duck is jogging on a 100m track. Overall I wouldn't recommend joining.
