Great technology, great people, and now part of Blackberry, where we have a chance of winning again.

Cons

Where to start? When Christy joined as the CEO, there was a lot of hope that she will bring new technology focus. But did it go wrong! The arrogance, lack of transparency combined with sheer, monumental lack of competence led to halving the value of tyke shareholder value in two years. While Christy received a generous reward, the rest of the employees were left with nothing. I hope she gives some thought to what she and the board did.

Pros

The technology and portfolio BlackBerry has under its belt is world-class. The products do solve real problems and help protect sensitive corporate-owned data. The Cylance acquisition and QNX technology are superb and finally getting market recognition as seen on the recent stock uptick given the AWS partnership.

Cons

The CEO has told area directors to promote from within but so far from what I have seen that is hardly the case. Outside hires are prioritized over inside talent and sales positions are hardly realistically feasible for young adults. Working here for almost 3 years my salary barely been increased even when my responsibilities have gone up significantly. There is a huge turnover at this company because the company fails to promote from within and internal talent is underpaid and knows that outside opportunities are much more competitive in terms of salary. That being said, there are a lot of "senior" reps that are complacent and have no intention of going above and beyond to reach their respective quota - the BB culture is toxic. Allows mediocrity to continue but fails to recognize the young talent that delivers year over year.
