Pros

You dont have to be in office for full 9 hours. Just 4 hours a day is enough. Nothing as such NOW.

Cons

The list is really long...will write the burning ones... Some managers in PTG are running their own parallel universe. Company asks employees to come to office for 3 days. They ask their teammates to come to office on a specific day ONLY else apply Half day leave. Just because they have a FOMO and want things to be micromanaged. They have also enforced a time to be present in the office along with the days in a week. In case you get late or are not present on the designated day you will be penalised in any way. They often are heard saying they are very close to the higher management and can make decisions very quickly and in the way they want. Again very immature leadership! Most of the PTG managers who have joined at the very initial stages of this Hyderabad GCC are technically horrible and hence just micromanage. They built a very toxic culture in their parallel universe and looks like the management is really unaware. A lot of favouritism and unprofessional behavior is done by the Managers in PTG (early hired ones :)) and they just focus on keeping the team in control eather than technical delivery. They don't even understand the scale and gravity of the work being done by their Tech teams and hence never even appreciate good work. Rather they just appreciate their bootlickers in every possible way. Their only aim is to start the team's day early and for their sake leave the office in 4 -5 hours as they know once the team has started the day's work they would even burn the midnight oil if required. Anyways they have no technical understanding or that amount of involvement. For their brownie points Managers just claim their Team's work in front of Leadership behind closed doors. No benefit to real performing employees. Blackbaud had great values, greater flexibilities but these low level Managers have made a mess.

Pros

Being fully remote was the only plus

Cons

Literally everything else… lack of proper support/training, micromanagement, unwillingness to help find the right fit.

We’re glad to hear that working fully remote was a positive aspect for you, as being a remote-first organization is an important part of how we support flexibility and wellbeing for our teams. We aim to create an environment where people can do meaningful work while balancing their lives outside of work, and we appreciate you calling out that benefit. We also recognize that experiences can vary by team and role, and we respect that this was your personal perspective. Our intent is to foster supportive teams, thoughtful leadership, and opportunities for growth aligned to both individual strengths and business needs, even though that may not have matched your expectations. Pros

Great teammates and customers. Contributing to nonprofits with mostly great missions. Mostly good direct managers.

Cons

Senior leadership too beholden to the stock market and short term thinking. This has led to nearly annual layoff cycles, significant offshoring of jobs, and a deteriorating relationship with customers.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for the many years you spent contributing to Blackbaud. We’re glad to hear that you valued your teammates, customers, and the opportunity to support nonprofits and missions that make a meaningful difference, as well as the positive relationships you had with many direct managers. We understand that perspectives can differ, particularly around leadership decisions and long-term direction, and we respect that this was your personal experience. As a company focused on social impact, we strive to balance the needs of our customers, employees, and the broader mission we serve, even though that balance may not always feel the same to everyone.
