Thanks for the kind words and feedback regarding areas for growth. We’re deeply passionate about fostering a culture where people thrive, so I’m glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed your experience in that regard. You’re spot on when it comes to the need for clarity in the midst of so much growth. I’m proud of the way this team has stretched and filled the gaps. While growth creates endless opportunities, it also creates a need for more clarity and structure. As it relates to compensation and benefits, while markets vary significantly across organizations and locations, we’re committed to continually evaluating and improving our plans to ensure they remain competitive and supportive of this team. Thank you again for sharing your experience and feedback, and for your commitment to this team. Josh Block

Pros

My time at block imaging has been a crazy journey of growth. Block fosters an environment that encourages personal ownership, they've allowed me space to stretch beyond what I thought my initial roll would entail and to challenge me. I transitioned from a micromanaged environment to one where I was trusted to make decision on projects which was both empowering and terrifying. It took time to unlearn a scarcity mindset but the respect and trust leadership gave me to navigate that process made all the difference. Over time, I also found a genuine sense of community here, which is something that took courage to build. I’ve found that when you allow yourself to be authentic, you attract quality people, and I’m proud to say that’s happened for me within this team.

Cons

Block has a high trust low policy mentality that can be both a strength and challenge. Being used to a more policy driven environment it can be awkward and difficult to adjust to the fluidity and flexibility. It's a learning curve for sure especially when there are moments of ambiguity or miscommunication, but leadership always makes it a point to figure things out and find solutions at least that has been my experience. While this trust-based approach is empowering, it does occasionally create confusion and requires patience to navigate shifting expectations.

Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback. I’m thrilled that you’ve found a deep sense of community here, and I love hearing that you’ve felt both stretched and empowered since joining the team. I appreciate you sharing about your past experiences and how being a part of a more rigid and policy-driven organization has required some new muscles in operating in a team with greater freedom and autonomy. Thank you again for sharing your experience. I'm grateful for your investment in this team. Josh Block

Pros

Fun atmosphere filled with a variety of perks including gatherings, parties, and holiday gifts. Emphasis on maintaining a "people-first" culture and workplace environment.

Cons

Culture is prioritized over compensation. Unfortunately, the compensation is greatly lacking; the cost of benefits are high and lacking in any real substance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as part of the Block team. People are truly at the heart of everything we do, and while we love hosting events and finding fun ways to show our appreciation, this is in no way intended to substitute for proper compensation and a strong benefits package. That’s why we’re committed to regularly reviewing and improving these areas to better support our team. Over the past few years, we’ve made some meaningful updates—like increasing our 401(k) match and adding two new health insurance plans to give our team more options. That said, we know there’s always room to do better, and feedback like yours is a big part of helping us figure out where we can improve. Lastly and most significantly, it's my deep hope that you took the time to share about the leadership power dynamics in your exit interview. As we expand and add new leaders in response to our growth, we're deeply committed to creating a culture where every member of our team feels safe, seen, and set up for success. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and perspective. Wishing you all the best in the season ahead! Josh Block
