      Decentralized Decision Making

      Pros

      The bottoms up culture can be empowering. Decentralization allows teams to make the best local decisions.

      Cons

      Lack of cohesion and engineering leadership, as most decisions come from the bottom. Engineering managers are passthroughs and aggregators of information but delegate almost all decision making. The company is organized around product silos. Not a lot of clear direction or unified vision or effort to generate alignment.

      Pros

      - Inclusive & Diverse company with amazing groups - WFH - $125/month to help pay for wfh expenses (ex. wifi, gas bill, etc.) - $75/month credit to use towards health and wellness - room for growth - wonderful company IF you're not dealing with customers directly

      Cons

      - NO work-life balance if you're a CS - You spend about 90% of your day on back to back calls with irate sellers - PTO is really considered "sick time" and if you use them all and try to take off without pay, you're punished (or terminated). - Information to help sellers is all over the place. Way too much information to research which makes calls (and holds) longer - Being watched 24/7 - if its not your adherence, its your hold times.

      Distributed workforce, unlimited PTO, and trust among teammates

      Cons

      We are turning into a bureaucratic company, with too many formal reviews and approvals to get anything done in a meaningful time. Work load and support is also an issue, and area where we consistent rank poor on as a company during the company surveys. Falling severely under the compensation band to maintain competitive in the market.
