Pros

Pay was decent though not great, good benefits, could pretty much make your own schedule, nice year-end bonus.

Cons

Recall was horribly mismanaged, upper management was not forthcoming with information with their own employees, poor manufacturing procedures led to people dying and thousands being laid off.

Pros

Blue Bell has a family-type atmosphere and promotes from within. Their motto of "Eat all we can and sell the rest" is pretty much true as the employee break room was always stocked with all the ice cream and snacks you could enjoy almost anytime while on the job-- absolutely free!

Cons

Blue Bell compensation (wages) not competitive with similar jobs in the market with relation to the amount of work demanded of an employee: pay scale set pretty low and annual raises not more than 30 cents. Medical benefits could be better.
