Pros

You can bring your dog to work. There are free snacks and drinks in the kitchen

Cons

Organizational structure is extremely toxic and biased. There is no structure to the company, they proceed to act like a startup when they have the tools and resources to succeed.

Pros

Strong bias for safety, employees are empowered and encouraged to speak up. Strong company vision and goals. Leadership has a strong desire to continuously improve working conditions and employee compensation. Very talented, kind, compassionate, and long-term vision oriented employees. Exciting work, easy to get inspiration when hearing about new projects spinning up, a sense that anything is possible. Get to work-on and look at rockets and space hardware every day, what a time to be alive!

Cons

HR team is stretched thin, lots of desire to do good but limited bandwidth to do those things. Understandable when the company is growing at its current rate. High contractor/full-time ratio, leads to a sense of 'otherness' among colleagues. Nature of the work means that there will always be a bias towards working on-site, rockets don't get built without hands on wrenches.

Pros

I absolutely love my job at Blue. Everyone I personally work with is passionate and driven to complete our long term mission. The goal of millions of people living in space isn’t going to happen in my lifetime but I love being apart of the team of engineers that begin that journey. Getting there without exploiting our passion for space is one of the reason I love working at Blue. I can’t stress how much support I’ve gotten from the company. Relocation, management, hr, training, IT. All of it, top notch. The company also supports work life balance. So I know my family doesn’t have to come second. I was fortunate enough to interview with several big names in space and there was no question. I was picking Blue.

Cons

I wish they would increase the available office space near the manufacturing and test labs. My desk is in a different location than my lab. I don’t mind walking through a few buildings or across the street, but having to drive makes context switching difficult. Note: The company does provide free shuttles, bikes, and it can be walked. Which is awesome.
