Pros

What I would say is the only true pro is that BM is relatively a relaxed environment.

Cons

The pay is not on any sort of scale that would make sense. They do not use merit, performance, or cost of living in your area to decide your wage. The company is growing way too fast and they are neglecting their current stores in terms of cutting their hours drastically, no stock support, no cleaning support, no assistant manager positions, and no key holder positions. There are stores generating well over $2 mil with no other management than the SM. They rely too much on the District Managers to manage the stores and the store managers are not empowered to run their store like their own business. Everything and I mean everything has to be run by the DM. Managers are treated like children in the sense that we can not communicate with anyone in corporate without the DM’s approval. They penalize the whole because of a few. It is very hard to stay positive and enthusiastic about a company that clearly sees everyone as expendable.

Pros

Good brands(but too many now) Good clientele -if you’re friendly, accurately knowledgable about products and honest with them, they’re loyal to you and refer as well.

Cons

Mngmnt by intimidation not motivation Senior Mngmnt is unmotivated to push company in pos direction Comp has proven to be terrified of racial disc lawsuits to the point of non action for legit issues No systems in place for supply Mngmnt, stores can remain unclean for weeks. Employees go unreprimanded for variety of issues including aggressive behavior and creating hostile environment for coworkers and customers
