Employee discount is ok. Pleasant work environment and location.

Cons

It's expected - retail schedules are not flexible at all. Wages offered isn't worth the amount of work, stress and time spent in store. Holiday Party is the most old school approach to marketing and unorganized event I've ever experienced.

They treat Estheticians horrible. I was there a month. I signed something to get a spa license however it was never posted on the wall. I couldn't get a clear pay scale in written or verbal. When I finally had a good week they said all they were paying me is minimum wage. WHAT!!! That's $7.35 cents a hour. I was told three different pay scales from different people since the interview. My sales were going under other employees numbers. I feel in my business opinion they are just using the spa as a tax write off. Such a huge disappointment. I'm taking my 17 years of experience somewhere that deserves it. And I wish I would have listened to the other reviews here on Glassdoor.

Pros

The most amazing products & a real sense of family. Even though they were acquired by Macy's 2+ years ago, it still feels very much like a Mom and Pop company. They really revolutionized the beauty business with their neighborhood expert model.

Cons

Outdated computer system. Way behind the times in technology. Managers spend hours a week on the phone trying to get the register to work.
