Pros

There are a lot of "perks" at BlueVine, but as most workers know, that's not what we're actually after. The bottom line: BlueVine offers full time employees competitive compensation, full benefits, and flexible hybrid work. Culture and work: BlueVine is an inclusive company focused on promoting a healthy working culture. In my department, no one expects you to work past your hours on any kind of regular basis, and deadlines are negotiated and reasonable. I've been extremely impressed by the HR department (a difficult feat), and the benefits are actually approachable, affordable, and good. So much of my life + work stress has been relieved by starting at BlueVine. Honestly, if they stay on this path, respecting and valuing their employees with yearly reviews and raises, I never want to leave. The perks (because they're nice on top of the important stuff): Coffee, snacks, drinks, beer, full functioning kitchen + supplies, happy hours, holiday party (with transportation included), commuter benefits/WFH stipend, health stipend, standing desks, phone rooms to take personal calls, ping pong table, free lunch once a week, sunny office, amazing views of NYC and the Statue of Liberty, a handwritten note welcoming me to the team, etc. I've honestly probably forgotten some things.

Cons

BlueVine is growing a lot. That's good, and hopefully, they'll stay on the current path and keep treating employees as well as they do now.

Pros

1. great learning opportunities: lots of growth, experimentations and explorations 2. collaborative, friendly yet direct and candid culture 3. talented colleagues to work with and learn from 4. opportunities to participate in innovation

Cons

1. Below average total compensation compared to competitors in the valley 2. high attrition in 2021, hard to hire and retain great talent, at least at the tech side 3. management is not bold enough to pursue high risk / high reward path. This is reflected in all of their strategic decision making, new product development, cutting edge tech adoption, hiring & compensation practices, etc.
