Terrible Company

Pros

$ Salary and benefits and upward mobility if you are a minority.

Cons

The worst leadership of any company I’ve ever worked for. The culture is toxic unless you play the woke politics games. If you truly care about quality, productivity, output, and driving excellence you will be toned down and silenced. If you challenge any poor management decisions you’ll be exited from the company. It is literally a shut up and color and keep your head down environment. Zero support from leadership. Diversity first and safety and quality last!

Pros

- Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days at home) - People you work with

Cons

- Overloaded with work, leadership is aware during COVID you went from a 18-20 people team to only about 10 people and do not plan on rehiring to that capacity so you are swamped. You can imagine all the customer complaints because we simply cannot reply at a timely manner. - My manager micromanages ALOT - Manager throws her work/projects on the team and makes it seem like it’s your responsibility - Leadership assigns unnecessary work so they can keep track of past dues, they should consider other measures to not add more work to their already loaded team

Pros

Engineers get to see and do some really cool stuff. 10% 401K match, education benefits are great. Great for inclusiveness, Boeing has made a point to emphasize diversity (including race, gender identity, LGBT+, disabled, and veteran status, etc) There's a place for nearly anyone at Boeing.

Cons

Slow to design and build anything, bogged down by meetings and spread too thinly across myriad sites. Inexplicably targeted dual monitors as the sole cost overrun for 2022, asking new hire engineers to accept worse hardware working for one of the largest firms on the planet than most of us have at home.
