Pros

Good benefits. Products aren't FDA approved so you don't have to follow strict Pharma industry rules.

Cons

I don't think you can trust upper management. They care more about the people in the home office than they do their sales reps. Although, they claim they care about their reps, except you know the saying..."actions speak louder than words" couldn't be more accurate here. Example, firing a rep in a territory, so a favored manager could go back to his old territory, who then decides he didn't want to be a sales rep again, so he left the company, leaving JDS without a rep in a large territory. So JDS management calls the rep they fired, claiming to have made a mistake, and asking him to stay and keep his job- not really telling him what the actual situation was. Another example, promising reps a raise, then not giving it to them. Or, letting reps go, even when they hit/or exceeding their goals. ICP plan changes almost every quarter, the only thing that stays the same is the fact that you make no money with any of them.

Save Yourself

Pros

Work life balance. That’s the only positive

Cons

Where to begin?! Products are not FDA approved to it’s not an easy sell. The products are some bogus thing made from a plant, so doctors already have a hard time believing the credibility of it. Upper management has favorites and will try to get you to quit in order to avoid paying you unemployment. They don’t provide feedback so you don’t know where to improve. They nitpick if they don’t like you. The pay is low for the pharmaceutical industry. Just save yourself and look for something more legit. Oh and way too much turnover. Too many people either quitting or getting fired for not reaching their crazy high goals. You only get commission once you hit your goal. If you miss your goal by one, you can kiss your commission goodbye

A Rewarding Work Environment

Pros

One of the best things about my job is that I actually look forward to going to work every day - and it's not just because of the location or the industry. I can honestly say I learn something new almost every day. JDS offers a challenging, educational environment where employees are encouraged to think out loud, test strategies and bounce ideas off of one another. Teams are tasked to think creatively and push the envelope in order to figure out what will help our products succeed. What I find unique and very genuine about JDS is that the leadership team is incredibly motivated, collaborative and intelligent and you can tell that they really have their employee's best interests at heart. It's a great place to work!

Cons

As with any start up, be prepared to wear multiple hats . Additionally, sometimes job descriptions and responsibilities can get blurry, so it's important that each team player knows what their direct objectives and deliverables are.
