Their “corporate culture” does not translate into real life. The management has the same old baby boomer mentality we’re all used to. Management is snotty, has favorites, and it’s their way or the highway. They will fire you for legitimately no reason. I was hired, by Bond, away from a job I’d been at for two years. They had me work Christmas Eve and New Years Day, then fired me citing I wasn’t a good “cultural fit.” No idea what that means and wasn’t offered any details. Oh yeah and they try to say you’ll get a $5k signing bonus but good luck with that. I think they already lowered it to $1k. I was glad to go because the general atmosphere there is just unpleasant to work; it’s a cold and alienating environment, which is ironic since they will tell you they’re all about team work. If you’re a “nurse” (licensed OR unlicensed tech), be prepared to do all the work on the client side, run your own appointments, present estimates, do exams and TPR by yourself, plus collecting samples from animals with assistants who are untrained. You will also be expected to write all the medical records. They’re short staffed, “fear free,” but nobody is on the same page in terms of protocol for anything. Techs always work separate from each other, which I found to be incredibly isolating and lonely. Doctors won’t help you out much either, unless you’re lucky enough to work with one of the few nice ones. On Christmas Eve, one of the CEOs showed up an hour before closing and gave us all a pop quiz on math - happy holidays! Bond would do well to realize that the veterinary world in NYC is very small, and when techs are treated badly, it won’t stay a secret for very long.

They recently fired the entire virtual team so you have to do everything yourself. This includes everything in clinic as well as emails, every single call and text, and inbox. Good luck asking your coworkers to answer the phone! They have such a high turnover I’ve watched so many doctors leave left and right. If you apply for that position get ready to be burned out by your second month of doing every single little thing by yourself with no help! The higher ups are weirdos who come into your clinic and will barely speak to you. The managers smile in your face listening to your problems and then tell you your only option is to quit. Also they will not pay you more for the workload quit while you’re ahead. If you have any health issues, children, hobbies, a life, say goodbye to all of it for Bond! The also hire vets with very little experience and have a lot of outside help from vets not even hired by bond as relief doctors who are mean and incompetent. Good luck working ten hour shifts with a thirty minute break that will more than likely be interrupted because the coworkers you have refuse to answer the phone.
