Pros

There are absolutely no pros to working at Bose in the modern era. They are completely lost from top to bottom when it comes to talent and technology stacks.

Cons

Its tough to list out all of the issues they have, but I will attempt: -The current CEO is a Mckinsey shill that was brought in and did nothing but further the decline of the company (see later bullets) -She brought in Mckinsey (shocker) to evaluate the overall business and they could not have got the assessment more incorrect (another shocker). They, as all consultants do, decided to axe the growth opportunities in favor of what they thought were 'safe plays' to expand the business. -While they were investigating the business she lied to health employees about the plan and what the next steps were. -The products are pieces of crap from a bluetooth integration standpoint. You cannot make worse connection logic or ask for a worse user experience compared to apple or google. It's absolutely embarrassing.

Pros

Employee discount, many good and talented people.

Cons

Too many and too frequent re-orgs and out-sourcings. Spend lots of money in new areas without revenue, but stopped investing in some audio products. The sleepbud has to be recalled due to defects. That's not the Bose way. Some products were canceled in the middle of development. 4 leardership changes in the past 4 years and many layoffs even the economy is pretty good. Another round of layoff is on the way. Every leader propose different slogans but little actions. No more Q&A during tall hall meeting. Leaders are not listening to employees. Too many favoritism in management. It is very chaotic.

Pros

Pension, good health insurance, work from home options.

Cons

Bose used to be a great company to work for. Employees worked hard, and management appreciated it. After Dr. Bose passed away a few years ago, they began outsourcing every job they could overseas. This continues. No job is stable, and they still expect 100% loyalty from their employees. The workforce is very unhappy, and most are disengaged. It's very sad. They are ruining what was once a great company.
