Pros

Teams are very collaborative and everyone speaks very highly of each other. They provide ample opportunities to collaborate and grow. Managers are never afraid to congratulate you or tell you how well you’re doing.

Cons

They pay decently but for the brand recognition no one seems to make super impressive salaries. It’s a smaller non-profit so there’s not too much mobility - but if you’re looking for a small business with younger employees it’s great!!

Pros

- Coworkers are super nice and supportive - Free tickets to shows - Resumé building - Learn a lot

Cons

OH there isn't enough room for me to write all the cons. It's honestly one of the worst and most frustrating places to work. - No organizational structure whatsoever so everything is unbelievably disorganized and chaotic from an administrative standpoint - Management sometimes comes from a solely dance background which is great as it's a ballet company but they need to hire actual administrators who actually know how to manage a business - On the flip side, sometimes management comes from a solely administrative background with absolutely no knowledge of dance...HIRE ARTS ADMINISTRATORS - Completely inept supervisors - Supervisors talk about their employees behind their backs, with no intention to provide constructive feedback that would actually help the employee - Toxic work environment, cliquey staff and management - Absolutely no diversity in staffing - Staff are coming and going CONSTANTLY which is a sign that no one wants to work there long term. Because it's not worth it. - Staff always asked to do things outside their responsibilities with no compensation or appreciation - PT staff hours can change at a moment's notice because of the supervisors' personal feelings towards them - No room for career development - Staff favoritism like crazy - Definitely not an "open-door" policy, they'd rather you keep your head down and do what they say no matter what

First hand look into the art world, the experience is what you make it.
