Pros

Diversity of projects gives you experience for a real long term job

Cons

commute, no management, no responsibility given, lacks firm leadership that takes account for employees. Have seen dozens of people leave the company in the past year due to dissatisfaction in management. They will move you around the company based off their needs over the best career growth for their employees.

Thank you for your review, we truly appreciate your feedback. We are happy your employment with Bozzuto was mainly positive and we thank you for the positive recommendation. Many initiatives are underway to solve several of the items you mentioned such as employee development plans and performance review updates. Again, we thank you for your honest feedback. It is our hope that focusing on the development of our employees and providing a clear road map for their career growth, along with a move toward a metrics-based performance scale, will assist us with ensuring all employees have a solid skillset. This, in turn, will solve for some of the issues you’ve mentioned. Julie M. Thompson Senior Vice President

Pros

If you get placed at a lease-up, you make lots of additional money in commissions. If you are not at a lease up, the money is not worth the work and lack of work/life balance. Good first job if you don't have any better prospects. Do not stay long.

Cons

The company used to be smaller, more boutique, and cared about their employees (supposedly) but my experience is that is you do not have a good gm/regional, you will become stuck and overworked without any additional compensation, or even a pat on the back. Been working with the company almost 2 years now and had to fight (and I mean the talk got all the way up to my SVP) for a measly $3,000 raise. When I asked for it, they said they would have to fire someone because they could not afford the $3k raise (lies since I have been the budget myself) was also threatened that I was expendable and that anyone could take over my job (and this is the way they talked to me, whom has been promoted 3 times in less than two years for excellent work, crazy) Lots of work for complete lack of compensation. $87 commission for selling an apartment that the company makes $30,000+ on. Not very good math by me.

Pros

Positive co-workers and a family feel. Good support of work/life balance.

Cons

- Bozzuto bends over backwards to make their resident's happy, which isn't the best thing. While I am all about customer service, it seems that all too often residents will yell and scream over something stupid and then get a gift card as a reward for complaining (to smooth things over- they call it "oops" money). That just empowers residents to keep yelling and disrespecting staff members since they know that we will just give them whatever they want and then some. - Not much growth opportunity in the Boston area -The bonus structure isn't the best and you can't afford to live in Boston on the salary they give.
