      Property Accountant

      Pros

      Somewhat flexible hours. Some managers are wonderful, competent and hardworking. Find them and glue yourself to them!

      Cons

      Not all managers are created equal. There are also, incompetent, vulgar and unprofessional managers. You will be able to out figure who they are pretty quickly. Just keep your eyes opened and pray that you don't have too many properties with them. Training is helpful depending on the trainor, luck of the draw. The people around you are your best resources. Most property accountants will help each other. Just ask.

      Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We try to create a flexible work life balance and I am glad to know that it has allowed you to make you family your priority. We are glad that Bozzuto is the type of organization that allows individuals to advance in their career. However, we make every effort to promote employees based on merit and their ability to be successful in their new role. Most of our managers and directors were once successful property accountants who we have promoted from within. Therefore, at one point they did understand the role and what it takes to be successful. Some of our managers and directors on occasions have to close properties. Although we don’t want this to occur on a regular basis, it allows them to understand what is being done and what changes need to be made to ensure our accountants are successful. Based on your comments, we need to spend more time talking directly to the accounting team to ensure that we are hearing directly from you regarding what we need to do to improve this. As a result, we will be holding quarterly departmental meetings so that employees can voice their concerns. Also know that I have an open door policy. Please reach out directly to me with your feedback. We are also working with operations find ways to enhance comradery between the two departments. Thank you for your suggestion.       Growing Too Fast?

      Pros

      Fabulous Medical Benefits! Daily job postings within numerous departments. Willingness to make company wide changes in efforts to get better.

      Cons

      Bozzuto Management Company has grown too fast for them to keep up. On-site teams are NOT receiving the proper support from corporate personnel that we should get. Support teams and senior management are stretched too thin. Help and someone who has the time to care is hard to find. Somewhere along the way, the support teams in the corporate office have forgotten why they are there. They are rude to on-site personnel (in all departments) and treat us like we are a nuisance or almost below them. HR and Senior Management need to have better lines of communication. Also, Bozzuto should have better timing with extra tasks, PM seminar, talent assessments, new program role-outs etc. There's no reason why these have to occur during prime budget season, there are 11 other months in the year.

      Pros

      If you have the right "look" you'll probably get promoted very quickly despite your experience. Due to high turnover you are likely to be promoted very quickly as to compared to other companies. Due to the crazy work environment you do build great bonds with your co workers as you're in awe of some of the things you've experienced and witnessed. Benefits are amazing.

      Cons

      Values residents way more than they will ever value on site staff High expectations with low pay. Offices are understaffed or better yet staffed with incompetent employees who pass off their work to the more competent ones. Drama and favoritism which puts certain people on the fast track if they know the Regional or a higher up Managers and Regionals are often very unprofessional and condescending if you are not in their inner circle. Unbelievably high turn over rate. Let's everyone know they are replaceable.
