Pros

If you are a "minority" in the workplace (ie. gay, trans, women, etc. or anything in between) - you will be handed endless opportunities. The conservative white male - not so much.

Cons

The company has a concerted effort to promote and hire the "perceived" minority's for the sake of inclusion and acceptance. There is a focus on the "image" of the company as paramount in the decision making process and then performance takes a back seat allowing competace to be sacrificed. There is a very strong "Baltimoe Liberal " culture that permeates the ethos from the top. The "culture" of today's society has influenced the decisions of many in the organization to appeal to certain demographics which can be detramental to the company in the long term.

Rich History, Influential Founder, Popular

Cons

I think the company is focused on quantity over quality at least on the management side. The former president (Julie Smith) was very personable and always had the brightest ideas to make everyone feel connected and a part of community. It all went downhill after she left her role and it seems to be just another company where you're a number rather than a person.

Great first job out of college and gave me relevant experience to get the job I currently have. The people within the company are really great and I made friends that I value.

Cons

You have to work 3 weekends out of the month and on the weekends it is max 2 people (including yourself) in the office. I thought the role was 50/50 with sales and marketing when I first started and then I quickly realized that it was all sales and I was just giving tours and selling apartments. It was not fun having my office be the leasing office of an apartment building. Only do this job if you're interested in property management.

Work-life integration can be challenging in a 24/7 industry however time to relax and recharge is critical.
