A Not-So-Great Experience...

discounted rent (though still not affordable with their salaries), owners and founders are approachable

Cons

There is A LOT of drama at Bozzuto and a bullying mentality reminiscent of high school that makes it an uncomfortable work environment; even senior leadership is gossipy and often unprofessional. There is no work life balance, limited budget and resources, poor training at corporate, favoritism in terms of both looks (you'll find a lot of blond girls) and with many employees and vendors being related to someone or friendly in some capacity, extremely low raises and no bonuses in most departments, a mediocre health care plan, etc. The company is also religious, which can cause discomfort for some. The workload can be very heavy for some while others seem to always be traveling - but I have to say the worst part about the company is the culture - catty, gossipy, and fake.

Bozzuto Construction - Great company and exciting place to work

Bozzuto Construction has been and continues to be a great experience. The work is challenging and the opportunities to grow and learn are endless. I have been challenged with a broad range of projects and with the future growth plans, it is clearly evident that new challenges are coming very soon. The great thing about Bozzuto is your career path isn't based on seniority or tenure, but rather your ability and willingness to learn and grow. The opportunities and career advancement are there for the taking. Bozzuto also does a large amount of after work events if your into getting out and catching up with employees. Overnight rockfish charters, golf outings, happy hours, baseball games, etc. I highly recommend Bozzuto Construction if your seeking a challenging and rewarding career in construction.

Cons

Project locations vary throughout MD/DC/VA. However that is not untypical of any construction company. I will say however that it seems Bozzuto does do it's best to consider location of the staff prior to assignments.
