Pros

You will work with some great people and every office has a great work environment.

Cons

You will spend years here with no promotion and very small raises if any. Brady especially hates to title change because they have to pay you more. Multiple employees will leave or get fired within a small period of time and instead of hiring for the position, they spread the tasks out to the rest of the team without pay increases. Every department is the smallest they’ve been in years and no plans on hiring while the current teams are handling way more than their job descriptions call for.

Pros

Your experience depends entirely on your manager and if they like you. It’s really luck of the draw unfortunately.

Cons

Career growth opportunities are vague and don’t align with what you’ll hear in your interview. Promises will be made but then roadblocks will continually pop up. People are very burnt out at Brady, and it shows. There’s a huge culture of “that’s not my problem” and you can either go along with it or drive yourself nuts trying to fight it. A lot of the normal behaviors here (not answering emails for weeks, not showing up to meetings, not knowing basics of email) wouldn’t fly anywhere else. A lot of people left because of their COVID response. We weren’t allowed to work from home for a majority of the pandemic, despite many roles being able to do so and a majority of our sales team being 100% remote. At the time, they said it was because “we work better together” which 1. Seems like a rip off of the Olive Garden slogan and 2. Is pretty funny when you consider how silo’d the organization is. Tech illiteracy is a huge issue there. I think this was a main factor in the no work from home rule, because remote work would put a spotlight on how outdated Brady software systems and practices are.

Very archaic and oldschool

Pros

The only positive to working here was the people and the competitive wages. Otherwise, it was pretty miserable.

Cons

Out of touch and antiquated policies and day to day procedures. The benefits are non existent. The option to BUY additional PTO is ridiculous. The health care options are terrible and expensive. Their idea of employee engagement is a janky pizza party or free cupcakes. There is no loyalty or genuine care about employees well-being. It’s all about the bottom line.
