      Little to no respect for tradesmen

      Pros

      Long hours and lots of overtime

      Cons

      Field employees don't get paid time off, higher insurance cost, lower pay, wrong employees get promoted, foreman and superintendents think they are "GODS", very to little no training on jobs above and beyond your pay grade, 50-60 hour weeks, very little home time.

      Pros

      If you are not part of the jobsite "click" don't plan on keeping your job. Men are as bad as women can be. My superintendent was a snob and had "God" sign posted on trailer. The jobsite engineer was just as bad. He thought he rated over me. Bad atmosphere.

      Cons

      The company it self was great. Great benefits, training and the women were mostly nice. If you are sick then they give no lead way for you to get better.

      Field engineer seeking career as superintendent

      Pros

      On large projects there were plenty of opportunities for overtime for babysitting the job in the afternoons and weekends. The guaranteed 40 program was great until they took it away.

      Cons

      General Superintendents did not take time to get to know field employees. I was a college educated field engineer pursuing a career as a superintendent. I would have been better off working my way up as a carpenter. The general superintendents seemed to have dislike the fact that someone was trying to enter the field with a college education. I went to work for another company and started off as an assistant superintendent and began learning so much more than line and grade.
