Pros
People are the priority and they really mean it. Relationship with management, not necessarily just performance, is the key to success here.
Cons
The pay, until you get into the very upper levels of VP, isn't that compelling. This is fine in your 20's when you're just starting out and your job is a significant part of your social life. When you're approaching mid-life with kids and you're really good at your job but maybe don't need your co-workers to be your closest friends, I feel you get overlooked.
