Pros

Awesome team members at each location I have worked at Offers lots of coaching and career support Free food Clear Expectations Quick turn around for team members who harass or impede other team members Vacation time and 1 month paid sabbaticals every 3 years for full time team members

Cons

I needed to develop some stamina due to being on my feet most of the time. Expect your first few shifts to be a bit of a workout. Certainly not unmanageable High shared workload. There will be some days you do more than others to support the team to make sure everything runs smoothly No 401K or retirement plan as of 2024

Pros

Brassica has an excellent working environment. The managers are friendly and understanding and they have a knack for hiring the friendliest, funniest people in Columbus. They also care genuinely about how each of their team members are doing at work and in their personal lives and work hard to ensure that everyone is being challenged at work. The shifts are busy but fun and they fly by. It feels great to work at a restaurant that the city (and state) loves!

Cons

You will be asked to work hard on each and every shift, but that makes each day feel rewarding. Some of the attire and grooming standards can feel strict, but most have solid reasoning behind them.

Pros

- Intensive, hands on 20 week training program - Talented, supportive and upbeat colleagues - Clear cut systems and expectations - Real opportunities to grow within the company - Great compensation - Quarterly bonuses based on stores success - High energy, high success - Open door policies across the company - High standards for employees resulting in hardworking, detail oriented and fun loving hourly team members Though I have only been here for a short time, I have really come to love my job. It’s incredibly demanding work, but I believe that is what makes it rewarding. Everyday poses a new challenge and a new skill to master, so it is far from boring. As a life time athlete, this job has really found a way to emulate what I loved about competing with a team for a common goal — everyday feels like game day. We grind together and we win together and if we lose, we come together. Each day I leave my shift and feel accomplished because I have done something that not everyone is capable of doing and I do it at the sides of people who want to see me succeed as much as they themselves want to succeed.

Cons

- Minimal time off (3, 7 day vacations a year) - No 401K or retirement plan - If other stores are struggling the burden will be passed to the stronger stores/partners. - Though commonplace for the industry, the stores remain open for most holidays (omitting the major holidays — we usually have the day of off) making it very challenging to make enough time to enjoy family or friends if you are from out of town.
