Pros

good pay, fun co-workers, clean work place

Cons

they want you to play mental health therapist, out dated systems, they say the want you to do grow and develop. they have time for it. when you ask to due it they say we are to busy to take the time. Management change about every 6mths or so. They tell us to due 15.00 credit for late fees but if customer push back give the full late fee. if you give to many full late fee you can be put on a wright up. If a customer becomes verbal abuse you have to take it. You can't end the call or stand up for yourself. You are told to take or pass up the the sup line. you could be on hold for at line for more then 30mins. Then you can get on a wright up for using the sup line to much

Thank you for your feedback . Our Associates make us who we are and we would never expect them to take any type of verbal abuse from anyone. We are consistently training our Associates on how to handle any type of negative interaction with a customer and have a step-by-step process of what they can do to remove themselves from a situation. We encourage you to talk to your leader and/or HR representative to ensure you are supported in your role. We take your concerns seriously and will pass it along to the appropriate team.

They "talk the talk" but do not "walk the walk"

Pros

There are some great people that work there and they have some cool products

Cons

They say they want to be a more forward-thinking fintech company, but they are not invested in building out the engineering function or innovating with new technology. Feels very old school and inauthentic. A lot of outdated technology. Very poor leadership overall - they do not take accountability or responsibility for their actions but rather lots of finger pointing and blaming, even in very public settings like a company townhall. Not a lot of transparency and overall poor communication. Lack of empathy for their people.

We are actively improving and strengthening our technology services to meet our associates' needs since over 70% of our workforce is fully remote. To stay connected, we recently completed a rollout of webcams to everyone in the company to encourage engagement. We are excited for what the future holds for Bread Financial and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Benefits are good and there is plenty!

Cons

You will be NOTHING more then your employee ID— you as a PERSON will not matter. It’s cut throat. Tenure does not matter — you’re easily replaceable and talent retention is NOT their thing!

We're glad to hear that you enjoyed working for us for 20 years -- very impressive tenure! With Ralph Andretta at the helm as CEO, we very much care about the voice of our associates. We frequently seek the feedback of associates and use it to improve both the associate experience and our company. We think associates will now find that we communicate often and transparently to keep people informed. Each member of our team plays a crucial role in the operation and success of our company.
