Pros

Most of the chapter staff were fantastic and there were some extraordinarily dedicated and productive volunteers.

Cons

Senior leadership is absolutely 100% clueless. This is by far the least talented team I have ever worked with. Their only focus is on self-preservation (keeping jobs that pay them vastly more than they are worth). They know little to nothing about the types of fundraising JDRF does and make nothing but poor decisions based on this shocking lack of understanding. Up until very recently, JDRF Canada had no useable CRM. The one they have recently implemented is like all of their other systems - an abysmal failure and massive waste of staff time.

Pros

Benefits package is OK. Good cause.

Cons

Avoid JDRF Canada at all costs. Backstabbing, corporate slander, bullying and managers throwing direct reports under the bus at NSO are frequent occurrences. Laid off a ton of people in July due to COVID-19 and not three weeks later, started hiring for the roles they just axed. That should tell you everything you need to know about JDRF Canada. Short story: There are better places to work. If you want to retain your sanity, don't work here.
