Pros

As I mentioned, the mission is definitely a show of hope for those living with type one diabetes, children and adults; however, with the lack of leadership and continuous staff turnover, I don't see a sustainable plan in which the organization can compete in the national non-profit arena.

Cons

Whatever position you are hired for is not the actual position that you will fill during your employment. When a new employee begins, there isn't formal training, just an attitude of show us what you can do to benefit JDRF.

Pros

research department leaders are dedicated professionals who are committed to the mission of the organization and believe the cure goal can be a reality with appropriate time and resources available

Cons

the foundation's organizational structure is changing. This can lead to confusion on focussed areas of responsibilities and accountabilities, and duplication of efforts without clearlines of purpose and goals
