      Pros

      I found JDRF to be an empowering place where one could see the organization’s mission put to work and fully realized. Individual’s strengths were always celebrated and encouraged rather than being stifled by normal corporate-type norms.

      Cons

      I found most of the leadership team to be quite supportive and empowering but I feel the CEO lacked the experience needed to lead such a big organization. It’s important for leaders to have people surrounding them that will challenge in a positive way and not surround oneself with those that will always be in agreement.

      No way to move up

      Great place for work-life balance. Remote work only.

      Cons

      No opportunities to move up the ladder. Also, if you are doing a job where you are doing more than someone with a more "senior" position or title than you, there is no way to request a review of your position and ask for more pay and a similar job title to reflect this. Some people simply move along the pay and title scale because they have been there years, opposed to the actual quality of their work or their abilities to do a "senior" or "Manager" designated role and nobody in HR questions why this is.
