      Pros

      Strong attention to funding the mission, passionate staff in the field and great volunteers.

      Cons

      Overworked, undervalued and lack of engagement from senior leaders with staff around the country. They work in a bubble.

      Pros

      Mission driven - very caring about improving the lives of patients. Strong advocacy and fundraising efforts.

      Cons

      Very formal culture. No compassion for colleagues (if you are not incredibly formal internally, you are reprimanded) You are expected to do 60-70 hours a week, and if you do not, you are considered a failure - the benefits do not compensate for the long hours.
