      Great mission, bad management

      Pros

      Mission is great and foundation supports vital research Gives you the opportunity to connect with lots of great volunteers and supporters

      Cons

      Bad management- two different Executive Directors while I was there, they were both terrible Very high turnover

      Pros

      Lots of vacation time, sick time, and the whole organization is closed between Christmas and New Years. We get to work with the most amazing volunteers. It's overall a fun job if you like fast-paced, goal-oriented environments and focus on relationship building. You wear many hats so you get to do different things. There's definitely a disconnect between National and the Chapters sometimes, but they're trying to work on that. National asks our feedback more than they used to.

      Cons

      Finding time to take a vacation! Not much room for advancement or different roles unless there's a vacancy. High turnover. Late hours on nights and weekends in height of event season.
