Inspiring mission, passionate and inspiring volunteers, dynamic and changing work environments, fantastic medical benefits and vacation packages. Good culture for those seeking small offices (2-10 people), good organization for those seeking part-time work.

Cons

Lack of uniformity between chapters, rough work/life balance with evening and weekend work, minimal bonuses, opportunity for internal advancement is low.

Pros

Working for a non-profit feels good working towards a good cause is always appealing.

Cons

Applied for a full time position, was offered a full time temp position, felt like a bait and switch from the beginning. Did meaningless clerical work (all the work that regular employees did not want to do), which I was fine with, but it was not very fulfilling. After three weeks, I was dismissed from my position, after being told that I was "not a good fit for the team," when I asked for more details, I was given none. I still do not understand what happened, I came in a half hour early every morning, and always checked in with my supervisor (telling her what i was working on that day, asking if there was anything that she needed me to do first, and asking for more work when I needed it, etc.). NOT RECOMMENDED TO OTHERS LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT
