Politics becomes a game where you have to pretend it doesn't exist, that everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others. Technology is antiquated. Bureaucracy is stifling. World class people don't tend to stay around long.

It's a small company that doesn't realize it's become a bureaucracy that's quickly on the road to become a corporation. It's senior management is quickly becoming detached from reality of modern life (i.e. facebook is demonized). No one makes strategic decisions resulting in paralysis.
