Pros

The schedule is pretty decent, and Marie and Casey (directors) were super friendly and helpful, I really really liked them. The kids, although of course there were challenging days, were sweet.

Cons

Well, the reason for the title is because even though I worked at Crossroads, this business is about as Utah County as it can get. A lot of people, including many of my co-workers imo, were fake and gossipy. As almost every review says, the owners are insanely greedy and Natalie cares way more about putting her botox and other plastic surgery on the company credit card than making your working conditions better. When you agree to work there, you have to sign a non-compete, so if you quit, you can't get a job as an RBT until a year has passed. And she will hunt you down if you try. Oh, also, I think some aspects of the ABA therapy that are provided here are ableist. There are a lot of good things about many of the treatment plans, but they use ABA to attempt to get kids to stop stimming and be more "socially acceptable" which I personally think is unnecessary. If it's not interfering with their quality of life or the safety of others, I think attempting to condition them to not do it anymore is cruel.

Pros

I am passionate about helping children succeed and I got a lot of joy out of seeing my clients progress.

Cons

I worked at 3 different regions during my time at UTBS. I found that the same issues were happening where I went. We were under paid, expected to take on more and more responsibility and under trained. The BCBAs had way too many clients that I didn’t feel like they even had the time to properly help and teach the RBTs. A lot of nepotism and cliques existed. If anyone tried to address problems they were shut down immediately. They also have you sign crazy non competes. I waited to work for another ABA company and it is a night and day difference. I feel respected and appreciated by everyone I work with and I have a healthy work life balance that was not possible at UTBS.

Pros

They work very hard to help kids, and if you work here you will love those kids. You get to work one on one with the kids giving them awesome care. The training they give you is awesome!

Cons

In the Riverdale branch there were cliques, and favorites. As I was gaining skills I was transferred from a balanced schedule to one that was emotionally and mentally tasking. As soon as I got certified they cut my hours, but did not give me the pay raise until I gave my notice.
