Pros

I loved working with the amazing clients. They taught me something new each day. I also met some great co-workers, while working there.

Cons

I worked there for 3 years and never got even a penny raise. Each year at employee forums, we were promised raises. That never happened. PTO also didn't start accruing until I was full-time for 6 months. Mileage checks (for when I drove clients in my car to their appointments) were always short. They always had some reason to not pay the full amount. There was also the issue of supervisors playing favorites. They promoted people to house manager position who were unqualified and generally did a poor job before they were promoted. Once, a house manager told me to commit Medicaid fraud for billing for services that hadn't occurred. I refused.

Pros

None really. Except the rewarding feeling you get taking care of people with disabilities.

Cons

They will say anything just to hire you. Lie to you about bonuses. When you bring up the bonus they conveniently act like they don’t know what you’re talking about. They only had one person staffed at a place that should have had two. They hired two people for a one person position and then played games on who gets the position. They do NOT train their workers. The only thing they trained me on was my cpr class that I had to retake where the lady was mean to me and very belittling. Kept taking calls in the middle of the presentation. Then cried about her divorce to me. Not to mention, she kept asking me to not take the class but I wanted to retake it so I can brush up on my skills. My boss was very mean as well. Very unprofessional. Yells at you over text if you do something wrong when the issue is actually her fault. They hire people who aren’t qualified (don’t have a drivers license) then you’re stuck doing most of the work. They don’t fire people for no call, no shows. I called the boss of my boss and she was very mean too. Said that a person can be late or miss a shift 27 times before they’re fired, but this person didn’t show up on time to every single shift (WAY more than 27 times). They defend everything they do wrong. I was forced to work 18 hours and then my boss said I shouldn’t work a shift that long as if I wasn’t held against my will to stay. I could go on forever about what this company does wrong but all in all they don’t care about their workers or the residents. Not worth it in any way.
