Pros

Helping Others... Honestly it's a struggle at times to think of enough Pros to fill a twenty word minimum. This is an easily avoidable company, and you should.

Cons

Poor Leadership Practices Little to no reimbursement for schooling Culture of childish behavior in the office Unqualified persons in high ranking positions Medicaid Fraud Low Compensation for high responsibility Wants to be your sole focus over family/school/ect Lack of qualified staffing

Low pay and no respect Rockcreek in CA

Pros

The clients are the best part of this company. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing. Several of us are looking for other jobs.

Cons

Some sub agencies in ResCare like Rockcreek do not put the clients’ health and well-being first. The company is more concerned with making money than recruiting good staff to care for clients. People who do their job well are often the target of retaliation by coworkers and upper management. Most people come in with slippers and very ghetto unfabulous. The company is very disorganized and lacks empathy. People have to work over numerous shifts. There is no incentive to do a good job and the pay is low for hourly and middle management. Facility managers only make a few cents more than the staff they supervise. They ask for a raise but keep being told no for lame reasons. They do NOT practice the mission statement of the company. It looks great on paper but that’s all.

Pros

Meeting a variety of people and gratitude from clients Working for the company is okay for experience

Cons

May spend half of your paycheck on gas the company will not pay for Forced to work for clients too far away Management does not tell you information about the client before you accept If a client does not open the door or sends you away, you are not paid for your time and are out the gas money If you complain about a home being unsafe or unsanitary, you are still forced to work there for two more weeks or be fired (OSHA needs contacted) Very low pay and no chance for a raise Very short shifts and long driving distances Repeatedly have to remind management of availability when they call and they try to force you to work when you are not available Try to force people to work on holidays Common sense does not exist in this office
