Pros

I’ve worked at Brightree now for a little over 2 years and it has been the best decision. Moving from a different state, my family and I moved to the Atlanta area not knowing what to expect. Let me walk you through the journey. The interview process was one of the most open interviews with everyone being honest and all expectations were communicated as to what I could expect from my role all the way up to the CEO. I worked with Andy Williams in HR, who was very responsive. I was told this is a fast paced company and about the hard working team oriented culture. My interview process stretched over a few months as Brightree takes their time hiring and ensures the right candidates are selected. So, be patient and be yourself! If it’s a fit and you like the culture, I assure you the journey will be worth the wait. Ask all the questions you want during this process and be open about your background, work ethic and the type culture you see yourself striving in and Brightree does the same for you in return. During this process, I also got to meet the CEO, Dave Cormack. Dave explained the status of the company, the growth plans, and reviewed the culture and expectations of what lied ahead. He asked about my family, talked schools, location, business and had great conversation. It’s not every day the CEO takes time out to meet you and talk about the company with you while learning more about you (if he does this with employees, think about how he treats customers…there is a reason Brightree continues to grow). Everything he said regarding growth and about the company direction is now a reality and it continues to grow. The vision and executive leadership of Brightree is something you will certainly like. Everybody is accountable in the organization and that all starts at the top. If you get this opportunity to meet Dave during your interview process (or once you get here) make sure and take notes! Just like the other interviews, what he says is exactly what you can expect. Next stop…landing the job! If you made it past the interview process, you get to join an elite workforce and Congrats! Brightree does not just hire anybody just because you qualify for a ‘role’. You’re part of a cultural fit and a team member of the Brightree family so feel proud of the accomplishment and get ready to take off. When you first start, the training is fast paced, but you’ll get all the tools you need to be successful from the start. Relax and learn all you can during training and ask all the questions you need to. Ready for the job! So, you were given a title…in the Brightree culture we just get it done. This is where you really get to challenge yourself. If you’re self-driven and motivated by doing great work and doing what’s right for the customer, this is the place for you and you’re ready. So, put your title to the side and work with your team members. The team will be your family each and every day you go to work. We are all out for the same mission…deliver the best solution for our customers! We are in an agile environment, which means we can stay as agile as we need to in order to deliver what the market needs and continue to serve our customers. Agile also means it’s very fast paced. This is a great thing, but there will be times of frustration and stress to deliver goals or deliverables but I believe that goes with any job for a company that is growing (and life in general!). Meeting expectations…now that you’ve been in your role for a while and you’ve learned how you fit in the team(s). If you took notes well, probably everything you heard in the interview and what you’ve read is true. We move fast, deliver for our customers, and work in a team environment. Dave will do business reviews with the entire company and keep you up to speed on the higher-level company objectives and vision while letting you know everything you can continue to expect. I’ve read on-line where employees are not reviewed. You are reviewed every day by what you deliver so I’m not sure what that means. Every manager’s door is always open and you’ll get to meet with your manager very regularly. Be accountable, deliver great work and serve our customers and you will flourish at Brightree! So, my last advice…forget your title, remember that our customers are #1 priority, and use your team members. If you’re moving to the Atlanta area, ask about housing, school districts and do your homework during this process! You will be glad you made this choice and I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Cons

If you like accountability, delivering for customers, and a fast-paced company then you are at the right place!

Part of the onboarding process at Brightree includes a personal one-on-one with our CEO shortly after starting with us. No, we're not a small company any more, but even though we have over 400 team members, we still try to retain as much of a close-knit feel as we can. It's the best of both the big company and the small company worlds!

Pros

Hard work is definitely recognized at Brightree, with competitive compensation and the opportunity to move up/over very quickly. Management is very intelligent and dedicated to growing the business, so they will provide you with the resources you need to do your job well. If you work hard 40+ hours per week, you will succeed here.

Cons

I think there is a certain intensity to working here, which I don't necessarily view as a negative but some might. Expectations to deliver on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis keep a consistent pressure to succeed. It may not be for everyone but if you do your job diligently it's a good place to be.

Lots of solid feedback here, but notice the advice to management comment. "Things are good, and getting better." That is a fair comment. As we grow, we attract top tier talent. Top tier talent gives the best effort, and expects the best from us. We're up to the challenge of improving as we go, so we listen and respond. No sitting on our hands here.

Pros

Loved my commute to work. Very supportive team and department manager(s). Very friendly environment to work.

Cons

There was no growth potential within the company. They hire from outside talent that do not tend to stay with the company. Long time employees are dismissed for not being the "right" fix after work with the company for many years.

Reviews like this are interesting and informative. In the last year, 19% of our hires were the result of internal promotions - a pretty healthy number. (Maybe we need to do a better job communicating those successes and helping others realize what needs to be done to grow within as well.) To be clear, Brightree prefers to promote from within whenever possible. Ideally we would promote from within first, then hire a candidate who was referred to us by an internal team member, then finally reach outside to an "unknown". As a growing company, this is only logical. Finally, the overall average tenure for Brightree team members has increased quarter over quarter for the last 4 years. Not a bad trend.
