Pros

Associates to obtain their hours for licensure.

Cons

Environment is filled with greed and drama. Environment has become more of a mental health agency. Clinicians, who actually provide sessions are compensated poorly. They’ll offer incentives, however many strings attached. Environment is similar to working for a county entity.

Toxic and Disorganized Workplace

Pros

They pay for your health insurance premiums.

Cons

This was the most toxic and abusive place I have ever worked for. This group may appear positive and enthusiastic at the start but this is a facade. Their management is disorganized and punitive. Their attempts at protecting themselves as a company and financial institution isn't just bordering unethical, they are actually unethical at the cost of the clients' wellbeing. Calling their workplace a "family" is just the tip of the iceberg when considering the degree of manipulation and control this company exhibits. If you do decide to work for these people, go forward with caution.

Pros

Good pay and benefits Remote work/in person, flexibility

Cons

I feel like I was micromanaged and the owner is incredibly hostile, creating a lot of anxiety in staff. It's not a relaxing warm environment, but pressured and everything you do is reviewed--I'm a professional, seriously? I felt like a student being grilled and belittled

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated our above industry-standard pay, benefits, and flexibility. However, we are concerned about your comments regarding micromanagement. At Brightways, we value autonomy for our clinicians, and we have recently enhanced this aspect based on internal feedback to provide our clinical staff with more flexibility. As you know from your time with us, we have an anonymous open feedback portal that we encourage all staff to use to address any needs or concerns. We wish you had expressed your concerns through this professional and ethical channel, as it would have allowed us to address them directly. We are also puzzled by your comment about "the owner" as one of the owners myself, I can verify that we very rarely interact directly with clinicians. The level of oversight you described does not align with our practices at Brightways. We take your concerns seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience. If you are comfortable, please reach out to HR so we can better understand and address these issues. If you prefer not to continue the conversation, we appreciate your service to our clients and hope you find a better fit with your next employer. Angie Shaw, COO/Co-Owner
