Riddled with Poor Upper Management, Lack of Accountability, and fractured, disorganized policy
Pros
Local Team was great to work with! Only reason the job was bearable. Good hourly pay Solid benefits Two consistent days off in a row, sames days every week
Cons
Upper Management attempts to push of issues to the showroom level, refusing to take accountability for their role in problems and upset customers. Practically no upward mobility. I witnessed a co-worker receive a "promotion" only to have to fight to keep their current salary. I also witnessed an assistant manager of 2-3 years, and a rep another 2-3 years before that, get passed up on a manager promotion because some new VP "didn't want to do internal hires" Unrealistic Sales Goals; does not take into account local market and current events. Good luck bonusing if you are not a virtual rep, or in a high-value showroom PTO blackout Oct-Dec Lack of ability to resolve customer issues in showroom. Anything more than incredibly basic policy exceptions cannot be issues by even the showroom managers Lack of opportunity for sales growth. Claim to be "Omni-channel" but the channels other than in person are either random luck resulting in low value (phones), assigned to you once in a blue moon (chat), or incredibly contested and riddled with people violating sales ethics with not repercussions (customer inquiries) Lack of solid policy. Wishy-washy sales ethics and customer policy lead to confusion and more issues, while the resolutions team will rarely help the showroom with issues until the issues becomes INCREDIBLY escalated.
