Pros
None. Learnt a lot across years (but not worth it). Paranoid environment based on fear, name-calling and yelling is normal. HR non-existent (located far, far away in Florida). I wouldn't recommend BMS to anyone.
Cons
Constant turf wars with politics between departments! VPs send their direct team reports for wars as they don't want to participate themselves. Managers lie to gain advantage in their job and throw you under the bus later (fear based management + favoritism), constant layoffs of top talent (don't come to BMS if you're a talent or your manager will let you go in 1-2 years). There are no promotions, except for those protected by their VP colleagues (favoritism again; promotions from associate director to executive director levels in one day!) Stay away from people who made a career at BMS, especially those with >10 years at BMS (back-stabbers who built careers on dead bodies). Not a single BMS employee believes in any of the values BMS leadership declares. It is not a science driven company - it is commercially driven, so if your research results do not support a particular objective, you and your projects will be immediately destroyed (name calling when your manager is not around; yelling is normal when managers are not in attendance). Top-tier KOLs publicly make fun of BMS inventing new diseases to make money; what an embarassment for anyone pursuing their careers with passion! Senior management is looking for ways to transfer money to prescribers and major institutions without following the US law. No job stability. Beware! Stay away!!!
