Pros

They would provide free lunch on the weekends.

Cons

1. Unfair wages based on work load/expectations. 2. Inexperienced management personnel, especially middle management. 3. Extreme nepotism at this company. 4. Everybody marches to the beat of their own drum. What is acceptable for one employee is not acceptable for another. 5. Poor performance and poor behavior goes unpunished while those that do more are not rewarded.

Pros

The company is a decent first job with flexible hours (at least my team).

Cons

The focus of the company is not towards developers. Emphasis in providing developers with training and education is not the focal point of the company. As with the case with many big companies, the environment is very political and there are too many managers in the company. Developers often get blame for many problems and seldom gets the attention for large successful projects. The teams are too big since part of each team have outsourced teammates from india. Coders in India has a high rate of turnover and in general pollute the code base just to get projects through. Does not follow SOLID principles when delivering code, emphasis is on code delivery and not proper coding design and development.

Pros

401k, work from home; flexible vacation time

Cons

They take advantage of you and then disregard you when new upper management arrives after a few years, with their high salaries. The new leadership believes they have a better idea than the previous one, resulting in hardworking employees losing their jobs to outsourcing in India. However, the quality of work and service suffers because the cheaper labor is of lower quality. Additionally, the remaining employees have to shoulder a heavier workload because the "more for less" workers in India require constant supervision and cannot work independently.
