Good entry level job, but not much else

Pros

You get to feel like you're very involved in helping low income people in the Bronx. There's also a decent employer match for retirement funding

Cons

The organization lacks an analysis of the causes of poverty and lacks an identity outside of government subcontracting. There's little room for growth and the executive management is notorious for micromanaging and mistreating employees.

Passionate but mismanaged

Pros

My co-workers really care. Most of the people offering direct services are incredibly passionate and committed to their clients. This passion is what keeps me here.

Cons

Senior staff seem to be unhappy, over-worked and unprofessional at times. Organization as a whole seems poorly managed and disorganized.
